Your Homeschool Coach

Customized Coaching

  • New to homeschooling

Many things are to be considered when making educational decisions for your family. Maybe you’re sensing a change is needed. Maybe you’d like to know what options are available. Maybe you want to advocate for your child, but you’re not sure how to do it. With a background in education and thirteen years of experience homeschooling, I can coach you as you go. From the beginning inklings of interest, to support, I will walk with you. And if you decide not to homeschool, I can help you know how to lean in as their primary educator and to advocate for them in their school environment.

  • Curriculum and subject decisions

What is the best curriculum for your child? How can you be sure that they’d be ready to go back in a classroom if needed? Where should you purchase your books and materials? What about socialization and activities? Do you have to keep track of everything you do with homeschooling? How can you test them to make sure they’re on track academically? Navigating these topics can be tricky. Utilizing years of research, as well as what I’ve learned from my own experience, I can walk with you through every step the decision making process.

  • Challenges along the way

Ahhh… if only the decision was the most difficult part and then it was smooth sailing! But let’s face it. We’re humans coordinating the education of other humans. Bumps will show up on the road, and then what? This is the time to make space and consider what’s happening and to ideally draw someone else in for help or advice. Outside eyes, someone who respectfully makes space for you to process, who understands the unique challenges of homeschooling and has years of perspective, and can help you walk forward with peace and hope.

  • Navigating partnerships

If the educational choices for your family lead you down the path of a partnership with other schools or organizations, such as your local school, a private school, a community college, or co-op, you may find things are even more complicated with record keeping, transcripts, schedules, and more. Throughout our thirteen years of homeschooling, I navigated many of those spaces, and can help you along. While you focus your time and energy on educating your child(ren), I will help you stay organized so when graduation comes, you’ll have mastered schedules, transcripts, diplomas, college applications, and more.
